This place has a voice.
Now,
As before,
This voice struggles to heard over the din of
construction
And above the acoustic chaos of urban renewal.
I believe that you shouldn’t be able to walk through a
neighborhood without seeing the layers of history linked inextricably with
place.
This Place Has a Voice is an public art project that I was honored to be able to take part in. My piece was a cubic mobile of images of DC with the theme of the City as an imaginative space. It sought to explore how we imagine cities and how that mental image changes who we experience these spaces.
